"Voted best bagels for a reason. I have a gluten sensitivity and I can eat as many of them as I want with 0 issues. plus there’s 15ish g of protein in each bagel! Yum! Just a note that there is pretty much 0 parking and it’s busy pretty much every hour of the weekend and in the mornings of course. There’s maybe 10 parking spots? Their breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal as well. They also have a cute little dining area that usually has tables open."

From Simple to Lavish Breakfasts

Breakfast has transformed from its humble beginnings to the varied meals we enjoy today. In colonial America, breakfast was often a simple affair, featuring porridge and perhaps a glass of cider. However, as the 19th century approached, affluent Americans began to emulate lavish English breakfasts filled with eggs, bacon, and sausages. This shift reflected not only changing tastes but also social aspirations, as families sought to present a certain lifestyle through their morning meals. Connecticut, with its mix of rural and urban influences, saw this change firsthand, evolving from basic sustenance to more elaborate breakfast spreads that mirrored the growing wealth of early American society.
